You may find yourself burdened by repetitious and/or mindless tasks that aren’t the wisest investment of your time. Don't allow this. You must
automate. If that is not a possibility, outsource everything that you possibly can. The beauty of having an internet business is that if it is setup right it can be an almost hands free requiring very little effort on your part to keep it running.
What
Can You Outsource?
You can outsource all your tech support and customer service. You can outsource all design, programming, and web site work. You can even outsource the authoring of articles, books, and software that you can sell or use to promote your business. You can outsource the recruitment and management of your affiliate program. Hiring an employee.
When
Total Automation Is No Possible
There are some businesses where total automation is not always
possible. In these instances, hiring a worker may be necessary. This is a huge scary step for most entrepreneurs, but with good reason - it is a significant investment. However, more important than the money you spend is the time you will have saved by such an arrangement. That precious time can be invested in marketing and improving your business thereby generating more money than your investment in an employee or automation script.
You could set your business up in such a way that all you have to do is check on it to make sure that you are earning enough money. You wouldn’t want to outsource the analyzing of statistics. Some people may be hesitant to do this because they are too short sighted and don't like to see money leave their hands. This kind of thought is from a lack of perspective. By paying someone $10,000 a year to free up 3 hours of your day, you have the potential to make much more than the $10,000 you spent on their salary.
Put more
hours into productive work
The three hours spent doing repetitive mindless tasks could be spent creating
new backend products, brainstorming new business ideas, improving your sales process, etc,. Free time is absolutely, positively priceless. You might consider trying to perfect the sales process through experimentation. At this stage, using your software that flips the sales copy back and forth, you would want to begin by testing a series of different sales letter head-to-head to identify which approach appeals to your prospects.
Once you have done that, you will want to begin tweaking every aspect of the copy that performed best. Test different guarantees, headlines, bullets, opening paragraphs, prices, order now links, colors, and offers. Try different autoresponder campaign articles on small groups of subscribers to see which gets the best response. Try different upsell strategies. Start with the big things that have the most effect like the price of your product and then move to the small things that won't make much difference.
You'll want to test the things that will make the most difference on your income first. Testing can be tedious. However, when you make a small change and it makes a big difference on your profits it is satisfying in a variety of ways. Every aspect of your business that can be changed should be tested, one thing at a time until you identify what techniques for each individual component of your sales process works best. This may take months, it may take years, but you must test only one change at a time. One of the core values that the process of setting up a successful business is based on is patience. A large barrier to testing is organizing the test itself.
